About Us

Understanding Minds, Changing Lives

We are a specialist autism assessment and mental health therapy practice, dedicated to providing high-quality, timely, and compassionate care.

Our multidisciplinary team brings together a wealth of expertise, enabling us to support a wide range of needs — from straightforward presentations to the most complex cases.

With specialist training in autism assessment, we follow gold-standard practices to ensure our evaluations are thorough, evidence-based, and person-centred. We understand that every individual’s experience is unique, which is why we tailor our approach to each person and their circumstances.

Our therapeutic services draw on a range of evidence-based models, including EMDR, DBT-informed, and CBT-informed therapies. This allows us to offer flexible, integrated support that meets the needs of children, young people, and adults alike.

Our Story

We first met while working in the NHS, supporting both adults and children through some of the most challenging times in their lives. Over 22 years of combined experience taught us many things — but perhaps the most important lesson was this: getting the right help at the right time can change everything.

And that's how Mind Matters was born.

We founded our practice to create a space where compassion meets expertise, and where individuals and families can access high-quality ASD assessment and mental health therapy without unnecessary delays. We wanted to build a place where people feel truly heard, valued, and supported from the very first step.

For us, this isn’t just work. It's personal.

Our mission is simple but powerful: to offer accessible, professional, and person-centred care that empowers people to move forward with confidence, resilience, and hope.
