Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy

EMDR is an evidence-based therapy that helps adults process distressing or traumatic experiences and develop healthier ways of thinking and coping. At Mind Matters, Worcestershire, we provide a safe and supportive environment where adults can work at their own pace. The EMDR process is structured: clients first establish coping strategies and a sense of safety, then gradually focus on specific memories or challenges while engaging in gentle bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or tapping. This approach allows the brain to reprocess difficult experiences, reducing emotional intensity and supporting emotional resilience and wellbeing.
